Year 7 – September 2021
Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College recognises that the transition from primary to secondary school is important in the lives of children and their families. Offers for places in Year 7 for September 2021 will be released by Cheshire East Council on 1 March 2021. Offers must be accepted or declined via your Cheshire East parent portal account by 15 March 2021.
We aim to offer a full programme of transition activities, which enables students to get used to their new environment and develop friendships. Information about this will be communicated to parents and carers during the week commencing 19 April 2021 and, where appropriate, posted below.
If, in due course, you are concerned you have not received this information or if you have changed address since your initial application, please contact Miss C Smith, Admissions Officer – email@example.com

Parents who are not offered a place have a right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel. Appeals for the September 2021 intake into Year 7 must be submitted in writing using the form available below. Forms received after the deadline may result in a delay to the appeal hearing for your child.
Appeals Application Deadline Monday 29 March 2021
Appeal Hearings Week commencing 7 June 2021
Casual appeals for admission to other year groups are normally heard within 30 school days (excluding school holidays) from the date the completed appeal form is received in school.
Academies such as ours act as their own admission authority, applying their own admission criteria as detailed in the policies below. However, all parents will only have to fill in one application form and will receive their offer from the LA in whose area they live. The Common Application Form (CAF) must be used by all Cheshire parents applying for a school place, whether inside or outside Cheshire.
If you require any further information on admissions, please contact Miss C Smith, Admissions Officer – email@example.com.
