Curriculum Leader for Modern Foreign Languages (TLR 1A – £8066 p.a.)

For September 2020, we seek to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Curriculum Leader to head a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department in a school that truly values the place of languages in the curriculum.
As a girls’ school with a mixed Sixth Form, we are looking for a passionate teacher of French, German or Spanish who can deliver outstanding lessons across all aspects of the curriculum and who can build upon the strong foundations of the current department. All students study either French or Spanish from Year 7 through to GCSE and some opt to take a second or third language in addition in Years 10 and 11. French, German and Spanish are all taught at A Level. Teaching cross Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, you will have demonstrated consistently high quality teaching in your current role and will have experience on leading departmental development. As a member of the school’s middle leadership team, you will be expected to contribute to whole school innovations. A strong commitment to delivering the core visions and values of the school is essential.

We are excited to find a candidate who can deliver dynamic lessons across all aspects of the Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 curriculum as well as contributing to our rich programme of extra-curricular activities. As an outstanding and versatile teacher with excellent classroom management and organisational skills, you will be adaptable and willing to share your knowledge with students and colleagues alike. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the full range of Design and Technology disciplines and to develop their own practice in a forward-thinking and supportive department. Senior Mid- Day assistants

Required as soon as possible

5 hours per week – term time only

 We are looking for Mid- Day assistants to work at the school each day from 12.15 p.m. to 1.15 p.m. each day during term time.

The successful candidate will be a team player who takes pride in their work.

Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
