Post 16 Pastoral and Welfare Assistant

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Post 16 Pastoral and Welfare Assistant on a 37 hour per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time plus 1 week)

Required for 24th February 2025 or as soon as possible.

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College pay scale – Grade 5

£25,001.01 - £27,711.94 per annum, pro rata

This is a key post which is essential for the smooth running of the pastoral system within school. The Sixth form Pastoral Assistant will support the Director of sixth form in managing the student body within the Sixth Form.

They will support the Director of Sixth form in ensuring our vision and culture is promoted through consistently high expectations for all students. In addition, support the SLT link in maintaining high standards in attendance, behaviour, attitudes, punctuality and kindness.

The support the Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant provides is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and personal attributes to progress into useful and fulfilled citizens. Our aim is for students to challenge themselves to set the highest goals in learning, behaviour and relationships.

Teacher of MFL

We seek to appoint an inspiring and dedicated MFL teacher for April or September 2025.

We are an ambitious girls’ school with a mixed Sixth Form. We have an excellent track record of producing high-quality linguists and our pupils achieve success in MFL.

We are looking for a passionate teacher with excellent subject knowledge, who can teach a combination of languages from French, German and Spanish. You will have demonstrated strong teaching and purposeful learning in your current position or secondary school placements.

The successful applicant will be joining a cooperative and creative MFL team, who teach an exciting, research-led curriculum. You will be a strong team player, with the ability to create positive relationships with staff and pupils and to ensure pupils of all abilities can succeed.

We offer a wealth of CPD and career opportunities for experienced teachers as well as a full support programme for ECTs.  At all stages of your career, you will contribute to curriculum area and whole school innovations.  A strong commitment to delivering the core visions and values of the school is essential.
