Learning Support Assistant

Grade 5 Learning Support Assistant (Including Intervention)
Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College are looking to recruit a Specialist SEMH Learning Support Assistant on a 37 hours per week, term time + 5 days contract.

Appointment Type Permanent
Start Date 1st September 2025
Hours 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

39 weeks per year (Term time plus Inset days)

Salary Scale Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College pay scale

Grade 5 £25,001.01 - £27,711.94 pro rata

Actual salary £21,478.66 - £23,798.88

As a school we are looking for a confident, solution focussed professional to join our Learning Support Team as a Grade 5 LSA (including intervention).The successful candidate will liaise with teaching and support staff to enhance the learning environment and education for all students and ensure any additional needs are met. Alongside our SEND Leadership Team out Grade 5 LSAs support the leadership of a key area of need including intervention. We are fortunate with the expertise of our current team that we can be flexible around the specific responsibilities linked to the successful applicants’ strengths. They will be working with a group of enthusiastic, conscientious, supportive and compassionate staff in the Learning Support Department. Our students are hardworking and well-behaved; this is an exciting time to join our growing forward-thinking team.
