Deputy Curriculum Leader of English

Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to work alongside a forward‑thinking and highly supportive Curriculum Leader to lead a successful and dedicated English department. Our team is committed to securing excellent outcomes for all pupils, and this role offers a valuable opportunity to help shape and advance that vision. As a school, we are committed to supporting every member of staff to realise their full potential and to develop as leaders within our community and beyond.

This is an exciting post and as such the postholder will be expected to make significant contributions and have key responsibilities within the English Curriculum Area. They will support and when appropriate deputise for the Curriculum Leader in ensuring that the breath within the Curriculum Area is designed to promote students’ knowledge and skills through academic, creative, expressive, technical, moral and spiritual development.

The postholder will deputise the English department and lead on a Key Stage dependent on their area of expertise. The postholder will directly line manage some staff within the English Curriculum Area and will report to the English Curriculum Leader.

For the right candidate, there is also the potential to take a lead role in whole‑school literacy, offering the chance to further develop leadership skills beyond the English curriculum area and supporting meaningful career development.

Art and Photography Teacher

Teacher of Art and Photography-Full Time

We seek to appoint a dynamic, skilled and motivated Art and Photography teacher for September 2026.

We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school with an excellent track record of producing high quality Artists and Photographers.  As a girls’ school with a mixed Sixth Form, we are looking for a passionate teacher of Art and Photography who can deliver outstanding lessons across all aspects of the curriculum. Teaching Art and Photography to at least GCSE level, you will have demonstrated high quality teaching and purposeful learning in your current teaching post or from your secondary school placements.  At all stages of your career, you will be expected to contribute to whole school and curriculum area innovations.  A strong commitment to delivering the core visions and values of the school is essential.

The successful applicant will be joining a forward-thinking Art department which consistently provides a stimulating curriculum that enables all pupils to achieve their potential.  We offer a wealth of career opportunities for more experienced teachers as well as a full support programme for ECTs.

Pastoral Support Assistant

This is a key post which is essential for the smooth running of the pastoral system within school. Pastoral Assistants will support the Pastoral Leader in managing the student body within their House.

They will support the Pastoral Leader in ensuring that within their allocated House and across the whole school, our vision and culture is promoted through consistently high expectations for all students. In addition, support the Pastoral Deputy Headteacher in maintaining high standards in attendance, behaviour, attitudes, punctuality and kindness.

The support the Pastoral Assistant provides is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and personal attributes to progress into useful and fulfilled citizens. Our aim is for students to challenge themselves to set the highest goals in learning, behaviour and relationships.

Cleaner

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College are looking to recruit a cleaner to join our professional Site Team. Applications are sought to join our morning shift team.

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College have an exciting opportunity for a cleaner to join the site team within our friendly and welcoming school community.

The successful applicant will be conscientious, hard-working and trustworthy and should be able to work alone, as well as part of a team. The role involves cleaning duties throughout the school.

These are term time only posts with additional hours to be worked during the school holidays for the deep clean activities.
